When I left Crappalvania is was a crisp sunny morning but by the time I reached the West Coast (4 hour drive) it was the familiar sight of thick mashed potato clouds hugging the hills. The scenery between the East and West Coasts is drastically different, so much so that you think you are in two different countries, and yet the change is seamless. I stayed with the comical and lovely parents of a friend on their dairy farm and like always they treated me like family. I’ve stayed there a few times and was provided the opportunity a few years ago to assist in the milking of the cows and care of the newborn calves. Some people would be turned off at the idea of being shit on by bovines but I just considered it part of a new experience
